ARM (USA) wishes to expand its training network in Da Nang

As part of the business trip to the United States, on February 29th (local time), the delegation from Da Nang led by Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, Ho Ky Minh, visited and worked with ARM at its headquarters in San Jose, California, USA. Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Stephen Ozoigbo - CEO of ARM and Mr. Jitu Choudhury, Director of Business at VMO (ARM's training partner).

During the meeting, Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh introduced an overview of the investment environment, business policies, preferential policies, and investment support in the semiconductor sector in the city, as well as the economic development orientation of the city. Especially, Da Nang identifies semiconductor as an opportunity and a driving force for growth in the coming time.

Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh pledged to accompany and support investors, implement projects, production activities, and business operations in the city, aiming to share common values and benefits.

Mr. Stephen Ozoigbo, CEO of ARM, stated that the company has established a very close cooperation relationship with Vietnam and has held meetings and worked with central ministries of Vietnam in the past.

ARM welcomes and supports Da Nang city in cooperation to train human resources and attract investment in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence design fields, especially in the context of the CHIPS Act opening up many opportunities to access funding for training in these fields.

He believed this is the perfect time for ARM and Da Nang city to enhance cooperation. "ARM is very interested in education and training in both the public and private sectors," said Stephen, and ARM has already designed online training programs for chip design. Consequently, ARM expresses its desire to expand its training network in Da Nang and plans to visit and work in the city on March 11th with the participation of VMO (ARM's training partner) and ARM's customer system from South Korea, Taiwan...

Additionally, VMO proposes to sign a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding between ARM, VMO, and the Da Nang Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Design Training Center to collaborate on implementing ARM platform training in Da Nang.

After the meeting, the Da Nang Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Design Training Center will continue to work with ARM and VMO company to implement the MOU, deploy training programs in the near future, and connect ARM with universities in Da Nang.

Da Nang city commits to fully support ARM in expanding its branch in Da Nang, providing support for students to confidently study ARM's programs, and supplying excellent students after training courses for ARM.

ARM is a company specialized in providing chip architecture designs (IP) and is a leading chip design provider in most smartphones. ARM's chip architecture licenses are sold to companies manufacturing central processing units or CPUs, and they receive royalties for each chip using their technology. ARM's customers include major names in the technology and chip industry, including Apple, Nvidia, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, Intel, and TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company).
