Vietnam and Singapore were the overall champions at the VIMC 2025 International Mathematics Competition
The 25th International Mathematics Competition - VIMC 2025 concluded in Da Nang on August 18, with the Vietnamese and Singaporean teams winning the overall championship.
VIMC 2025 attracted 553 contestants from 29 countries and territories, who, along with the host team from Vietnam, created an exciting and friendly atmosphere for the competition.
The students competed fairly and honestly, showcasing their talent and creativity, and leaving a deep impression on their international friends and the people of Da Nang. At the closing ceremony, the organizers awarded prizes at three levels: individual, team, and overall. The overall championship went to the teams from Vietnam and Singapore. In addition, the organizers presented other awards, including the cultural exchange award, game award, outstanding individual award, individual test team award, group test team award, and the grand prize.
The IMC (International Mathematics Competition) is held on a rotating basis in member countries and is for gifted mathematics students from over 40 countries and territories around the world. The VIMC 2025 competition was organized according to international standards and took place from August 14 to 19 at the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), University of Da Nang. In 2026, the competition will be held in Mongolia.
