On the afternoon of February 22, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh held a meeting with South African Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Viet Nam Vuyiswa Tulelo On her first visit to Da Nang. Mr. Minh gave a warm welcome and an overview of the strategic location, socioeconomic situation, and development orientation of Da Nang.

This was the promise of Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee at a meeting with more than 250 businesses and business associations on the afternoon of February 17.

On the morning of February 13th at Tien Sa Port, Da Nang City hosted the official welcoming ceremony for Settsu, a Japanese Coast Guard ship in Da Nang for a friendly visit from February 13 to February 18.

On the afternoon of February 13, Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Yen - Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang People's Committee hosted a reception for Colonel Niwa Satoshi - Commander of the Japanese Coast Guard ship Settsu on the occasion of its courtesy visit to Da Nang.

On February 14, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh received the delegation from Vietnam Innovation Network in Korea (VINK) to discuss cooperation in innovation and startup activities.

On February 9, Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Yen - Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang People's Committee chaired a meeting with Mr. Shinobu Inanaga - President of Nagasaki Prefectural University (Japan) and professors of the university.

On the morning of February 8, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh chaired an online meeting with Mayor of Sakai (Japan) Nagafuji Hideki to discuss smart cities, digital transformation, post-Covid promotion of tourism, calling for investment in Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, and activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Japan (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2023).

On January 24th Da Nang Department of Tourism welcomed more than 450 participants of an Indian wedding. This is an activity within the City’s international visitors promotion program. In the past, Da Nang has supported and welcomed several Indian weddings which are part of a plan to promote the City as a destination for weddings from the Indian market, along with other activities such as tourism fairs and family trips, for Indian wedding event companies.

On the morning of January 23rd (the second day of the Lunar New Year) the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company, held a ceremony to welcome the international cruise ship Silver Spirit to Tien Sa Port. This was the first cruise ship to visit Da Nang in the Year of the Cat 2023.

On the morning of January 22nd (the first day of the Lunar New Year) the Department of Tourism cooperated with the Central Airport Authority, Da Nang International Airport, and Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company to welcome the first international passengers arriving in Da Nang on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023.
