On the afternoon of September 24, Nguyen Van Quang, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City, hosted a reception for Japanese Crown Prince Fumihito Akishino and Princess Kiko during their official visit to Da Nang. The reception was attended by Deputy Permanent Chairman of the People's Committee of the city, Ho Ky Minh.
Secretary Nguyen Van Quang expressed his joy at welcoming Japanese Crown Prince Fumihito Akishino and Princess Kiko on their official visit to Da Nang, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973-2023).
Mr. Quang emphasized that this visit by the Japanese Crown Prince and Princess to Da Nang holds special significance and is a great honor for the city. Furthermore, he affirmed that Vietnam, and Da Nangin particular, always values its friendly relationship with Japan.
Mr. Quang mentioned that Da Nang has signed a memorandum of understanding to establish friendly and official cooperative relations with four Japanese cities: Kawasaki, Sakai, Yokohama, and Kisarazu.
Cooperation programs between Japanese localities and Da Nang have been effectively implemented in various fields where both sides have collaborated. As a result, the friendship and cooperation between Da Nang and Japanese localities have continued to strengthen and develop, contributing to deepening the Vietnam-Japan relationship.
Secretary Nguyen Van Quang wished Crown Prince Fumihito Akishino and Princess Kiko a successful visit, hoping that they would experience the friendly sentiments and strong bond between the people of the two countries and gain a better understanding of Vietnam as a whole and Da Nang in particular.
During the meeting, Japanese Crown Prince Fumihito Akishino expressed gratitude for the warm welcome extended by the city's leadership. He mentioned that this was his third visit to Vietnam and the first official visit to Da Nang.
The Crown Prince expressed delight that Da Nang has established friendly and official cooperative relations with four Japanese cities, including Sakai. He also expressed hope for the deepening of Japan-Vietnam relations and the expansion of cooperation between Japanese localities and Da Nang in various fields.
