On August 2nd, Mr. Le Trung Chinh - Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee, hosted a meeting with Ms. Seng Thao - Mayor of Oakland City (California, USA) and her delegation during their visit to Da Nang.

At the meeting, Chairman Le Trung Chinh welcomed Ms. Seng Thao and the delegation to Da Nang and provided insights into the city's economic and social situation, potential, and development propects. He also highlighted the successful collaborations between Da Nang and various localities in the United States, including Oakland City, California.

Currently, Da Nang has attracted 85 FDI projects from the United States representing nearly 800 million US dollars in registered capital, accounting for about 20% of the city’s total FDI. These projects have been remarkablyfruitful.

Chairman Le Trung Chinh expressed his hope for continued investment from US businesses, particularly in fields where the United States excels, such as information technology and high technology. He assured that Da Nang will always facilitate business activities and enhance the experience for residents of Oakland City, as well as all visitors from the USA, encouraging their exploration of investment opportunities, work prospects, and travel in Da Nang.

Ms. Seng Thao, Mayor of Oakland City, expressed her appreciation for the gracious reception by Da Nang's leaders. As Oakland is a renowned port city, with the Port of Oakland ranking as the 10th largest seaport in the USA, Ms. Seng Thao expressed her eagerness to explore investment opportunities in Da Nang's maritime and port-related industries.
