On August 4, in New Delhi (India), Da Nang Tourism Department coordinated with Vietjet Air to organize an event to promote the destination of Da Nang and introduce Vietjet Air's direct flight connecting Da Nang and Indian cities. The event was attended by Mr. Pham Sanh Chau - Ambassador of Vietnam to India; Mr. Rajiv Mehra - Chairman of the Indian Travel Association (IATO) and 90 representatives of travel businesses, wedding organizers, and MICE travel agencies.

 

The event aimed to introduce the image of Da Nang as a prominent new destination in Asia, a vibrant festival city, and tourism products and services. Along with that are the product packages of beach resorts, MICE tourism, and wedding tourism that matched with the interests of the Indian market.

At the event, Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center signed a agreement to establish cooperation with Global Aviation Services Pvt. Ltd. to promote the destination of Da Nang in India. Global Aviation Services is the unit that has consulted and coordinated with Da Nang in destination promotion activities since 2017 and supported the organization of the 2022 Danang Tourism Program in IndiaSigning of cooperation agreement with the witness of Vietnam Ambassador to India and tourism businesses

Mr. Prabodh Tipnis, General Director of Global Aviation Services Plt. Ltd. expressed his belief that the cooperation between the two sides will bring significant growth in many tourism segments. "Da Nang Tourism will now have a direct contact in India which has many offices throughout the country. This will make it easier for Indian partners to find out information about what the destination of Da Nang can offer, much more beyond Dragon Bridge and Ba Na Hills."

On this occasion, Da Nang Tourism Association signed a contract with the Indian Network of MICE Travel Partners (NIMA) in order to develop the MICE tourism segment. According to Mr. Jadgeep Bhagat, National Coordinator of NIMA, the organization wished to promote MICE tourism between the two destinations as well as create a sustainable partnership, bringing mutual benefits to members of NIMA and Da Nang Tourism Association. Accordingly, 17 tour and accommodation service providers representing the Da Nang business community will connect with more than 120 Indian partners.

Ass the supporter of Da Nang Tourism Introduction Program in New Delhi, Vietjet Air introduced to Indian partners the direct flights from major Indian cities to Vietnam, including Da Nang.

Specifically, the first two direct flights from Mumbai and New Delhi to Da Nang will be activated on October 17 and 18. The airline will operate three new routes to Da Nang from Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad on November 28, 29 and December 1, respectively.

Mr. Jay Lingeswara, Commercial Director of Vietjet, stated that Vietjet has the highest number of flight routes between Vietnam and India, with 17 direct routes starting from September 2022. Passengers from India's five biggest cities can now fly directly to Da Nang. From here, they can travel conveniently to the cluster of cultural heritages in Central Vietnam such as Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, the Complex of Relics of Hue Ancient Capital, and Son Doong. Through Vietjet's extensive network of routes in Vietnam and Asia Pacific, travelers will easily fly directly from Vietnam to other Asian cities such as Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul, Busan, Tokyo, Osaka, and Taipei.
