On the morning of June 3rd, the European Chamber of Commerce in Viet Nam (EuroCham) organized a webinar “EUROCHAM MEETING WITH VIETNAMESE CENTRAL PROVINCES”, to connect the European business community with the central regions, including Da Nang, Quang Nam, and Thua Thien - Hue.
The webinar was held online, with the participation of leaders from three localities, EuroCham Director Ms. Delphine Rousselet, and many European businesses and investors. Standing Vice Chairman of the City’s People’s Committee Ho Ky Minh chaired the meeting in Da Nang.

At the webinar, leaders of those localities introduced to the European business community overviews of their localities’ characteristics, advantages, and policies of attracting investment in particular and the advantages of the Thua Thien - Hue - Da Nang - Quang Nam linkage chain in general. On the part of the European business community, investors expressed interest and asked many questions about preferential policies to attract investment, especially those specific to startups, about visa policy with longer terms for European countries, about green and sustainable investment orientations of localities, etc.
Speaking at the webinar, Vice President Ho Ky Minh said that for Da Nang City, Europe has been an important partner in investment and trade, and it is one of the key markets that the city focuses on calling for investment. Since the beginning of 2022, the city has organized many programs to network businesses with European countries such as Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, etc., attracting many businesses from both sides. Currently, 35 businesses that are members of EuroCham in Viet Nam are doing business in the city, actively contributing to Da Nang’s socio-economic development and community.
According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, in order to realize the set goals, strive to become a city of sustainable development, and affirm the leading role in the Central Key Economic Region, Da Nang would like to further strengthen investment and trade cooperation with European countries.
“Currently, when the COVID-19 pandemic is no longer hindering investment and business activities in Viet Nam, in the coming time, Da Nang hopes to receive many investment projects from European businesses in major fields that the city intends to develop. The City’s government is committed to most favorably facilitate European investors to set up and effectively implement projects in Da Nang,” Standing Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh stressed.
