On December 13th, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh welcomed Mr. Dragonetti Luca - Managing Director of ENI Vietnam.

At the meeting, Mr. Dragonetti Luca - MD of ENI Vietnam said that ENI Vietnam is part of ENI S.p.A., an Italian multinational oil and gas company. The company first came to Viet Nam in 1977 to drill and explore two wells at Nam Con Son but it was unsuccessful. In 2013, the Company returned to Viet Nam and ran a project in 4 blocks of Central Viet Nam in Hong River and Phu Khanh basins, covering an area of 24,000 km2.

Mr. Dragonetti Luca - MD of ENI Vietnam expressed his desire to expand production and investment in Da Nang; at the same time, he said that in 2020, the Company is expected to drill stem test at block 114 offshore Central Viet Nam. The exploration wells of Ken Bau 2X and Dan Day 1X are expected to be 95m deep. Block 114 is more than 90 km from Da Nang City. 

The project of expanding investment and exploration activities between Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and ENI Vietnam to concretize the Agreement reached on the occasion of the Prime Minister and high level delegation visit to Europe in 2014.

On behalf of the city leader, Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh welcomed and highly appreciated the orientation of investment expansion and cooperation of ENI in Da Nang. The Vice Chairman said that the city government always had maximum support policies for the business community, especially the preferential policies, supporting investment in the High-Tech Park, etc. The Vice Chairman requested that Departments, Investment Promotion Boards, etc. and related units coordinated to support ENI to ensure the progress of promotion, production expansion, and investment in technology fields in Da Nang in particular and the Central Region in general.
