Connecting Cooperation with Enterprises in Kansai (Japan)

In the afternoon on 18th October, Mr. Dang Viet Dung – Standing Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee presided over the meeting with the enterprise delegation of the Kansai Economic Federation (Japan) led by Mr. Hasegawa Keiichi, President of the Ehle Institute Japanese Language School, Osaka, visiting and working on the occasion of attending the event “Meeting with the talents and global enterprise exchange 2019” organized in Da Nang City.


At the meeting, Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung answered many enquiries of enterprises from Kansai regarding the investment environment and favorable policies in Da Nang City

Delightfully welcoming the enterprise delegation of Kansai to Da Nang City, Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung said that, on the basis of a comprehensive and strategic relationship between the two countries of Viet Nam and Japan during the past few years, Da Nang City has continuously developed the cooperation relationships with Japanese localities, organizations and enterprises. Up to now, the City has signed MOUs to establish official relationships with 04 cities in Japan, including Kawasaki, Sakai, Yokohama and Kisarazu, and has cooperation relationships with more than 20 provinces and cities.

More than 180 of Japan’s investment projects with the total investment capital amount of 800 million USD have been effective in Da Nang City, focusing on the fields of production and processing, electronics, education and tourism. More than 1,000 students in Da Nang City are learning in Japanese language programs at schools, and more than 100 students graduate in Japanese language specialization every year. In addition, the Viet Nam – Japan Culture Festival is organized yearly in Da Nang City attracting the participation of many localities, organizations and enterprises of Japan, acting as a bridge to speed up the friendship and cooperation relationship between Da Nang and Japan during the past few years.

As stated by Mr. Dang Viet Dung, in the coming time, the City of Da Nang expects to call for Japanese investors to invest in the Hi-tech Park, IT Park, seaport development, experience sharing and cooperation in developing auxiliary industries, urban management, building a port-government model, as well as promoting cooperation expansion on tourism, education, medical health, human resources and people exchange programs.

With strong points in fields of heavy industries, high technologies, seaport, tourism and traditional handicrafts, Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung wished, enterprises in Kansai would foster investment activities and connect cooperation relationships with enterprises in Da Nang City. He also affirmed that, the City Government commits to creating conditions for Japanese investors to establish and effectively carry out investment projects in Da Nang City and connecting the demands for cooperation between the two sides’ enterprises.


Enterprises in Kansai inquired about the investment environment in Da Nang City

At the meeting, Mr. Hasegawa Keiichi admitted, together with the wave of investment from Japan in Viet Nam, the development of human resources becomes more and more important. From April of this year, Japan has admitted “special skills”. Within 5 years, Japan predicts it will admit 345,000 Vietnamese people and create a working environment for foreigners with the guiding ideology of Japanese people and foreigners living together.

According to Mr. Hasegawa Keiichi, the event “Meeting with the talents and global enterprise exchange 2019” with the participation of students at universities in Viet Nam, Japanese joint venture companies and Japanese enterprises would be an opportunity for students to seek jobs or study abroad.

With the mission of connecting Japanese enterprises with joint venture companies in Viet Nam, vocational schools with Japanese language schools, the President of Ehle Institute Japanese Language School wished to get opportunities to work, get to know and cooperate with Japanese language schools in the City regarding the solutions for enhancing Japanese language proficiency for Vietnamese students and laborers.
