Cinema lovers of Da Nang will have an opportunity to be taken on a cinematographic journey to Israel and by so, will learn more about the diverse cultures, traditions and identities of this country through the Israel Film Festival 2017 to be held for the first time in Da Nang.
The event, hosted by the Embassy of Israel in Viet Nam and the municipal Centre of Film Distribution and Screening, will take place at the Le Do Cinema (46 Tran Phu Street) from 19 to 23 May. It will provide an insight into Israel’s rich cultural heritage through an assorted selection of films of different genres that carry unique characteristics of this country comprising ‘Nhung Nha Ao Thuat’ (Magic Men), ‘Khong Dong Luc’ (Zero Motivation), ‘Ngoai Co Thi Sao’ (A Matter of Size), ‘Sua’ (Jellyfish), and ‘Nam Tieng Tu Paris’ (Five Hours from Paris).
In addition, it will help to deepen the bilateral friendly relationship founded on mutual understanding, vibrant trade and economic cooperation, and growing exchange of cultural activities between Israel and Viet Nam.
The Israel Film Festival 2017 will be opened at 19:00hrs tonight (19 May) at the Le Do Cinema with the presence of the Ambassador of Israel to Viet Nam, Ms. Meirav Eilon Shahar.
