Lotte Mart Da Nang will be built on a site of 10,000 sqm at Hoa Cuong Bac Ward, Hai Chau District with a total investment of 30 million USD.  The Mart is expected to be opened in December this year.  This was announced by Lotte Vietnam Shopping Co Ltd in a press release recently.

 

The Da Nang Investment Promotion Centre recently issued an investment licence to Mr Alan Grant Unger, a US national, to establish AU Consultancy Services Co Ltd in Da Nang.  The AU electrical and mechanical consultancy project will involve a total investment of 50,000 USD.

 

The World Bank has agreed to provide one International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) loan and four International Development Association (IDA) credits totalling 973.5 USD million.  These will support Viet Nam's measures to develop infrastructure and reduce poverty.  The agreements were signed in Hanoi recently by representatives of the State Bank of Viet Nam and the World Bank.

 

The Viet Nam General Department of Tourism has issued Decision No 04/QĐ-TCDL which recognises Vinpearl Luxury Da Nang (Truong Sa Street, Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District) as a 5-star hotel.  This is the sixth 5-star hotel in Da Nang, in addition to the Furama Resort, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Plaza, Crowne Plaza Da Nang (formerly known as Silvershores), Lifestyle Resort and Fusion Maia Resort.
 

Korean Air recently announced that it will inaugurate its first direct flight to Da Nang from Seoul on 19 January.  The carrier will operate two flights per week, on Thursdays and Sundays, utilising Boeing 737-800 and B373-800 aircraft.
