Da Nang welcomed about 1.4 million tourists and earned VNĐ2,250 billion in 2009. About 900,000 visitors came to the city and brought a total turnover of more than VNĐ521 billion in the first six months of this year. To speed up the development of the city tourism, 55 tourism projects worth nearly US$3 billion, including 10 foreign and 45 domestic ones, have been awarded with investment certificates.
