Mr. Yoda said the company came to this decision after conducting surveys in many locations in Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar and Vietnam. Products of Morito’s plant will be exported to nations worldwide. The construction of the 15US$ million plant is scheduled to be completed by 2011. The company considers this as an extremely important project in its long-term cooperation strategy with Vietnam, he said.
Chairman Minh deeply appreciated Morito’s decision and said the city was committed to creating every favourable condition for the implementation of the project. He reported that the city and Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier, are promoting the establishment of direct flights between Da Nang and Osaka. He said he believed that this would facilitate travel between here and the Kansai region, where the headquarters of Morito Co.Ltd are located, and actively support the implementation of Morito’s project in the city.
