As part of the “Europe Days 2012” programme to celebrate Europe Day in Viet Nam (9 May), the Delegation of the European Union to Viet Nam will cooperate with EU embassies to organise a European Film Festival in major cities throughout Viet Nam this month.

A delegation of journalists from Central Russian Television in Yaroslavl in the Russian Federation visited the city on the occasion of the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition 2012 to make a television documentary on the city and its people.  The Vice Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr Vo Duy Khuong, met with the delegation on 1 May.

Parente Fireworks from Italy, with its wonderful show themed “The Rainbow of Da Nang”, won the first prize and the title “Champion of Champions” at DIFC2012 which was held along the banks of the Han River on the evenings of 29 and 30 April 2012.

Da Nang has 11 Malaysia-invested projects with a total investment of over 96 million USD.  Bilateral turnover between Da Nang and Malaysia reached 800,000 USD last year.  These figures were reported by the Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr Van Huu Chien, during his recent meeting with the Ambassador of Malaysia to Viet Nam,  Mr Dato’ Azmil Mohd Zabidi.
