The First Vietnam - Thailand Joint Cabinet ended on February 21, 2004 with 10 important cooperation documents signed by the two countries, creating frameworks for further bilateral cooperation.  Most importantly,  it opened up a new page in the relations between the two countries, cooperation for equality, mutual benefits, development and stability.
 

The 2nd session of the Vietnam- Thailand Joint Cabinet Retreat was held on February 21 in Nakhonphanom Province (Thailand). Many important documents relating to Vietnam - Thailand development cooperation were signed. On this occasion, Vietnamese PM Phan Van Khai and Thai PM Thaksin Shinawatra attended the inauguration ceremony of the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Village in Nakhonphanom Province.

At 11h30 of February 20th, Thai Airway plane taking Thai PM and his accompany landed at Danang International Airport. At the Airport, the ceremony of welcoming Thai cabinet leaders was esteemly held at the presence of Vietnamese PM Phan Van Khai, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Dy Nien, Minister - Chief of the government's Office Doan Manh Giao, Danang Municiple Committee's Chairman Huynh Nam and many other Vietnamese officials.
