Currently, only the MobiFone network can provide service inside the six-kilometre Hai Van tunnel. “We completed our work to place a transmission station nearby 19 days ago. As a result, our customers can maintain connections as they travel in the tunnel,” a MobiFone representative said to Vanguard Newspaper correspondents on June 5.

In the North, Phu Loc was most favourable for development of aquaculture and tourism. In the South, Da Nang City was most attractive for development of urban areas and industrial zones. But the two parts were totally isolated from each other by the Hai Van pass.
