Yaroslavl is 282 km from Moscow. It was the first locality in Russia to manufacture trains and synthetic rubber. It has great potential for industry, science and tecnology. Main industries include manufacturing of motors, chemicals, petrochemicals, food, fuel, mechanical products and light industry.
Relationship with Da Nang:
Da Nang and Yaroslavl signed an agreement on economic and commercial cooperation in 1999. So far the two localities has signed three agreements and Memorandum of Understandings.
Da Nang and Yaroslavl frequently exchange high-ranking leader and enterprise delegations to boost cooperation in import-export, investment, tourism, human resources training, culture and technology.
A delegation from Yaroslavl led by its vice-governor visited Da Nang in July 2010. This has opened many cooperation opportunities in the coming time.
